Yes — but everything stays on your machine. AIPET uses your webcam locally to detect focus,
presence, and behavioral patterns. No video is recorded, no frames are stored, and nothing
is ever sent to a server. The moment the frame is processed, it's gone.
AIPET includes a fully local Gemma 3 model, so the installer is a large download.
For the first macOS release, we recommend Apple Silicon (M1 or later) and at least 16GB of RAM.
Performance may vary depending on your configuration.
The AI core runs Gemma 3 locally with no API key or required AI subscription. An internet
connection is still used for purchase, license activation, downloading the app, and updates.

This website does not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing trackers, or client-side analytics cookies. AIPET itself is designed to keep your desktop experience local unless you explicitly choose otherwise.
- We process limited server-side request data such as IP address, user-agent, requested path, and response status to operate the site, measure basic traffic, detect abuse, and enforce technical protections such as rate limiting.
